Welcome to Bear Creek!

Bear Creek Baptist Church has a rich history since organizing along the creek in 1787, just a few years after the nation's birth. Since those days, the people--who really are the church--have weathered storms of life but basked in the sunshine of ministry and missions.

 

While its history comes out of revival movements which swept through central North Carolina in the 1750s and '60s, the emphasis today isn't on the past but on the future. We believe, Lord willing, Bear Creek's best days lie ahead, especially as the need for faithful witness in an ever-changing world dramatically increases.

OUR VISION

Our vision statement is prescriptive from Matthew 28:18-20. Our values are descriptive of the church in Acts 2:42-47. We want every believer to grow in their relationship with the Lord through gospel transformation, loving community and missional living.

WHAT WE DO

We are a church family that focuses on heart transformation and character growth by applying the gospel to all of life. We are a church family that loves one another in a way that reflects the power of the gospel. We are a church family that defines our lives by mission in all that we do both here and worldwide.
